I've had three shoulder surgeries in the last couple of years and finding a bra that would work (once I started wearing one again) was an important task. I found these very comfortable, inexpensive, well-made bras at Wal-Mart. One of the best parts is that it has front hooks. I don't wear these when I'm "dressed up", but they're great for every day wear. Hope this helps: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fruit-of-the-Loom-Comfort-Front-Close-bra-Style-96014W/11070540Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148674654584849237.post-90038643906699686902011-07-08T11:58:45.345-07:002011-07-08T11:58:45.345-07:00Thrive with RA...they can have "my girls"...Thrive with RA...they can have "my girls" and all the spillage that goes with them. I have the same problem and am getting to the point that i will have to do something about it- even my beloved sports tops are getting too snug! No suggestions yet although my sister knows a great place- I will get the name and check back! Oh, and I'm 100% with you on the subject of underwires! Anyway, I am going "there" again. You can be sure I will post should I find suitable housing for "the girls". I wish I could wear the underwires but they just kill me. I know they help alot with support and all but for me, they just hurt too much. Since you can wear the underwire ones, have you tried the minimizer ones? They supposedly cut you down like a size and help with the spillage.Deb aka AbcsOfrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12619087592028571941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148674654584849237.post-54757472661759669432011-07-08T05:42:31.823-07:002011-07-08T05:42:31.823-07:00OMG! I can generally find bras that fit and I am fine with underwire, but swimsuits, button up shirts, and dresses are often very hard to fit. I either have to go bigger on the outfit or plan on hanging out. Lately I have just been kind of hanging out. My husband loves it! My daughter doesn't. :( Please post if you find the perfect bra because I would also love something in cotton without the underwire.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13076282329093508289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148674654584849237.post-84429572279683185172011-07-08T02:03:37.758-07:002011-07-08T02:03:37.758-07:00Tiff..thanks for the idea. I can try it on in the store to see how it works for me. Thanks. And I am glad I am not the only one singing that song :-)

Jan...you gotta know by now I enjoy your blog. I am always waiting on your next post :-)

Dutch...ouch...shoulders. Now that is a really tough one. I want the wider straps for that reason. If I wear thinner ones I get this huge valley in mine from the pressure. I think my ribs and other joints just hurt more so I tend to focus on the "squeekie" joints first...lol. Anyone say oil me up! And oh yeah..I do remember her show on them. I am thinking of getting the bras that I used to use. I forgot the names of them but they were featured on Oprah. It is a sports bra & they are very pricey. I think I paid $50.00 for one & I bought 2 of them. I used them up. You look like you have a una-boob but to me they were oh so comfortable. If my old brain would work I could try to remember the name. I will get back to you, if I remember. I have been looking for comfortable bras forever though because mine have always been large. I'm now at like a DDD/E/F depending on where I get them from.

I have a tendency to get cloth bras from Lane Bryant. They hook in the back but have an elastic band at the bottom. I don't know that I'd call them uber comfortable but I have kind of given up on finding something that doesn't cause me pain. Not that this is a great thing, but it's just something I deal with unfortunately.
