My journey with rheumatoid arthritis.
I was just wishing I could fall back in love with winter but I am already dreading it. So, I must focus on the positive, right? I love fall too. I love the sound of my feet crunching on leaves. I love how the changing leaves remind me that life is always changing. I love waking up with the windows open and hearing the chipmunk under my window. I too love when neighbors manage to decorate their homes in an attractive Halloween way. Enjoy each day of this season Deb.
Hehe... you must always be armed with good comrades. Looking silly by one's self is never as fun is it? A gal friend of mine & I used to be over the moon giddy living life, laughing and just enjoying being a kid again. She's in florida now and i'm in indiana so it's no so easy physically but, when the phone rings and my hubs sees FL on the id... he finds something else to do. LOVE your post. Too fun. Gentle hugs. Tammy
Cathy...my heart goes out to you. I moved to NC for that very reason. I moved from NJ and the snow and planned on heading somewhere that snow did not fall all the time. During those times up north I was basically held hostage in my home or I had to go to a mall to walk around. I don't miss it at all! But I will confess, that for about two months here I am also held hostage but from humidity. Did I ever mention that southern Calif. has the best climate for me. But it is just too expensive for us to "retire" there. So hostage held I will be and during those months I will figure out ways to laugh and have fun inside. Hope you can do the same.Tammy...I have no problem making fun by myself. It helps to keep people from asking me about my ra :-) But doing it with a comrade IS so much more fun. My friend lives three states away so I do understand about the phone fun :-) The comrade in the picture is my Fridate...my daughter. I plan on having as much silly fun whilst I can with her. In about 1 1/2 years she will be out on her own and working. So while I have her at home (going to college) I plan on taking full advantage of filling up not just our photo albums but our minds and souls as well with silliness and the joy of just plain old living.
Fall is my favorite season even though winter is on its heels. I agree with Cathy... I used to love winter but it just hurts me now. I just got in from work at 1am and I'm on the patio enjoying the cool temps with a cup of coffee. Our temps have been unusually mild for fall, we have only been down in the low 40's one time so our fall colors are behind schedule. We are going to explore a corn maze this weekend. I know all of the walking will probably get me down, but I am so ready to go.
Ohhhh...a corn maze! I have never done one and it sounds like so much fun. Wonder if one can bring a gps :-) Hopefully the walking won't be too bad for you and can you cheat and cut through if you get too tired? The only maze I have ever done was in a garden with bushes years ago and I don't even remember where. Yeah, it was that long ago. I would say run for the sun as many do in the winter (you know the snow birds that go to Florida and all) but you work and that isn't possible. Maybe one day you can retire to an area without the extreme snow and all.
